get your freak on
what is it about the way your soft, sun-warmed hair lies in the crease between your lithe shoulders and avian neck? what is it about the way you toss your arms out carelessly, the way mine fit perfectly underneath and around your body like wet cloth? what is it about the way your voice tastes sweet and full to bursting like new fruit, plucked and tenderly smoothed by eager fingers, softly eaten? what is it about the way your eyes shine light onto mine, as if i’d been staring from caves for years?
is this question beginning to sound redundant? it should.
what is it about the way the wind wanders the soft hair down your back, above the suspicious line of your bra, against my lips as i warm the shiver away?
here i am, searching for the meaning of life in art. and there you are, making your life your art, incidentally. you shame me and i love it.
what is it about the way
i’d break my rules for you.
that makes me think…
july?
